Would just like to confirm, the well known online DVD and game retailer have now blown their 24 hour guaranteed dispatch time by 7 hours.... 31 hours and still 'packing'???

Not impressed in the slightest considering this is in stock.

Can't wait to send this game back with a hate letter. Not impressed.

Need to give it more time, but after the first couple of campaign missions I'm unimpressed. The interface is horrible IMO, very unintuitive.

Operation Flashpoint was one of my favourite games when it game out, but I expected a bit more "wow" factor than this.

I'm not going to make a total judgement before playing it more, but it just seems a bit of a mess. I'm not a fan of games that use the "place the cursor on the visible landscape" type thing to issue orders, and the map controls are odd. Left stick to zoom, right stick to move. Every time I've opened it so far I've tried to do the opposite.

Just expected to be drawn in straight away, but I wasn't.

cant comment on the single player, but co-op rocks

myself and 3 friends from work have played through the first mission tonight.

its taken us about 90 minutes to complete it, 3 secondary objectives of 2 surface to air batteries and an anti ship missile battery then the primary of a radar site.

its not quite as hard as the original but its still pretty unforgiving, if you die you start with a limited number of respawns but it looks like you get more for each objective you get.

we had a hoot once we got the jeep from the lighthouse..we found a house with another jeep outside and 2 blokes inside...you can blow half a house up with an anti tank missile it turns out! we then took their jeep and had a jeep race

cant wait for tomorrow night when we hit mission 2

the main advantage of 4 player co-op is you dont have need the daft ring to order them about..you just shout at the buggers.

I agree. I think it doesn't help when games like Gears of War and COD4 have spoilt us completely when you look at how polished they are.

But that doesn't excuse Codemasters releasing a 30 quid game like this. It doesn't look they put much thought into any elements of the game (not counting the weapons which are fairly accurate in detail). Are they just relying on their hardcore fanbase to jump in and get on with it?

cheaper all week, i just hope all the stock isn't sold out by 6am or i'll be getting it for PC and waiting till it drops in price (i work in a supermarket, stocking for electronic equipment (of all types) is poor at best and i doubt they'll be restocked before the end of the week, that and i want it asap ^^)

Won't be the same price for a while after the deal as well.

Unless a bunch of kids buy it thinking it will be like cod then return it 6 hours later

i work at the same supermarket, they really don't have a clue when it comes to selling electronics

I am going down at midnight as 1) not sleeping tonight anyway due to being ill 2) nothing more fun than dead roads and riding a ducati 748 at midnight

Although, bad news lol.

Just rang the store up... They havn't got them in yet, but spoke to Mark the general manager and said the night delivery was being sorted through as I was talking to him, so have to ring up at half 11... Said the likely hood they are in the delivery is very high but to call just incase. He will keep a copy aside for me and they WILL be on the shelfs tonight nationwide at 27 quid at midnight in all 24/7 green machines
