Hello,

I just thought i would post to see if anyone has been getting the same problems as me on Xbox Party.

At the moment i am browsing any sites i can find related to this, but no such luck yet.

When i am in a Xbox Party or Chat session it seems at pretty random intervals i get disconnected from the session.

What will happen is it will say that anyone who is in the session has left. But when i get back into the session everyone is still in there and just said i left.

Im finding this pretty confusing, my internet is ok thought as i still stay connected to Xbox live and if im in a game i will stay in there no problems.

Does anyone else suffer from this problem?

I get it infrequently, as do lots of other people I talk to on xbox live.

Mine seems to be happening a bit more than i would like it too. I have just called Xbox support and the guy has gave me a number of ports that i need top open on my Netgear Router. Will give that a shot and see how it works.

Any update on this....? Because this is exactly what mine does. When im playing Halo Wars there is nothing more annoying than building an army going to attack and POP your have left the party :(

Get better internets?

On a more serious note are you wired or wirelss and is there a lot of other devices stealing the bandwidth? I never get party disconnects ... but tbh i never play the 360 that much either

Happens to me and I'm running 20MB cable all wired so I don't think it has anything to do with your internet connection!

I running 8mb Orange broadband.

To be honest its not really the xbox live party that causes the problem. I get disconnected from live.

Its a wired 360 (20 inch cable) to router.

I thinking of maybe the router is causing the problem. But then why doesn't my pc disconnect.

Is there any tests i can do???

Also it seems i get booted of live at night time, never really during the day! So that points me back to orange or the BT phone line???

I got some ports that i should forward, i phoned Xbox support and the guy said it "could" be causing it.

Only thing is i need to figure out how to forward ports on my Netgear.

Already tried the first one "TCP 80", however it gave me an error of something similar to it was already used. Is that a problem or does it mean its already open?

Sorry to bring this topic back up again :(

I would be so grateful is someone could give me some advice.

Trying to play OF Dragon Rising today with a mate and we just cant make any progress.

Im with AOL as said before, my friend is with Talk Talk. I really do not know is this is an ISP problem or what

The problem is very random, it can kick in the first 30 seconds of a game or wait 20 minutes. We are both in a party and we get the dreaded message "MR X has left your Xbox Party" and then the game drops out.
I really do not know who's end the problems are on, i never drop out of Xbox live itself. I get the message saying my mate has dropped out the party, and he gets the message that I have....

I have a list of ports to forward on my router, i think i have managed to get a few (TCP/UDP3074 / UDP88 / TCP80 / TCP53 / UDP53 and TCP80). I can do them all apart from 80, it says its being used elsewhere. My mate has basically done the same thing, but this problem still seems to persist!

I really wish someone could figure this out, as i keep hitting a dead end.

Its xbox live. Just recently i cant connect to certain friends, cant even join their games etc. I think its due to the influx of new players/more people playing in winter.

This has been happening for more than a year. I can play with other friends, and i disconnect, but never as frequently as this.

Hmmm then id say its your connection :P. Youll have to do some serious tweaking but it can be done. DMZ, ports, static ip are the most common problems when it comes to xbox live.

I had a feeling :(

Why cant things be simple, i was thinking of changing my ISP this week anyway as i have had enough of AOL.

Any recommendations? i was thinking IDnet...
