Ideas for new company car

I'd go with the C200 not a bad car, engines a bit slow but the rest of the car is good as a company car.

Mazda 6 is good, but it feels a bit cheap inside tbh. How about an Accord?

I'd go for the Merc out of that list. 10 seconds to 60 isn't that slow and as you've said, he isn't interested in speed

The 1 series coupe will have very little room in the back and rather harsh ride quality

In fact most of the other options on your list have the 'sportier' suspension option

It's that time again to choose a new company car for my Dad.

He's not at all interested in the speed or dynamics of it really, things like economy, ride quality and build quality are more important.

MERCEDES BENZ C200D 4DR 10 2.2D SE 188.66

He's discounted the 1 series as too small, but we've got what could be a favourite, on a 48 month lease which he'll probably hand back after 3 years anyway.

MERCEDES BENZ C180K EST 10 1.6BeF ELEGANCE 132.95

MERCEDES BENZ C220D 4DR 10 2.2BeF ELEGANCE 156.04

MERCEDES BENZ C220D EST 10 2.2BeF ELEGANCE 166.61

Looks promising?

Elegance is a good spec for the c class, SE on the smaller engines is a bit sparse, you still get bluetooth and climate, but you dont get the nicer instruments etc.The manual Blue-efficency range also had very low co2 emissiions iirc

Yeah, the lack of those pesky CO2s make it nice and cheap :p

Only concern is about the foot brake as my Mum who will rarely drive it will get a bit funny over that :/

My mum drives a merc, has no problems at all with the foot brake.

But she does suffer with other woman like traits, i.e. only having a 10 mile driving radius and avoids motorways :p

I have just had a test drive in the new one, they are offering it VAT free on the road a £16,600 not bad for a more practical Golf GTI turbo! They have also cleaned up the exhaust emissions with the face lifted model therefore tax should be less. It would run rings around all of the cars mentioned above IMHO.

That sounds like a great deal, for a new car.
