claiming from a airline

This reminds me of the guy that was in the EXACT same situation, but asked his friend which airport to go to.....And then posted on OcUK asking for help as to which Airport to go to and proceeding to tell the same story as you just did.

Wouldn't be you by any chance would it?

You're thinking of this thread.

Yes, same person.

ok was sent to the wrong airport by a well meaning friend i was staying with in Bochum

no its just ryanair, no doubt its clearly my/my friends fault... but technically its not in Dusseldorf, but close enough, not worried about that now, i'm just after cheap flight search engines if anyone has any links?

You never once mentioned in that other thread that you'd called Ryanair and they told you to go to the wrong airport. You accepted that you and your friend had made a mistake by going to the wrong place.

So like I said earlier:

Leg.

You don't have one to stand on.

that would be me, and at no point have a ever said half of this is not my fault but ultimately they sent me to the wrong aiport (again yes i should have done more)

Oh dear. Gotta love an internet liar. :D

Come on Jim, you've got to own up on this one - unless your mate works for Ryanair your story has changed somewhat since you were at the airport. ;)

LOL. So was it Ryanair who got it wrong or was it your "well meaning friend"

I wonder what it really said on your ticket, it should be a three letter code and I have never known for them to be wrong.

Clearly states when choosing a ticket that the departure airport is NRN. The only way of reliably identifying an airport when there are multiple choices are by the IATA Code or the FULL name of the airport. Things like "main" don't really mean a lot.

how is that word relevant to this thread anywhere? looking at your other posts you seem to wade in and type random statements and troll like insults.

Well,

Thank you very much, my job here is done...

** No direct personal insults **

FFS how many times do i have to repeat myself... yes i should have checked but when you call an airliner and they direct you to the wrong airport then that should be the final word on it. that is why i complained and asked for a refund of my missed flight

Unless they put in writting that they directed you to the wrong airport, then there is nothing you can do. It's your responsibility to be at the right place.

On a slightly related note there's a Panorama programme on Monday at 8.30 called Why Hate Ryanair

i will be watching that

i have not disputed that part and i do take some responsibility, however what made my mind up was calling Ryanair and then directing me to to the incorrect airport

You've still managed to avoid the question on whether it was Ryanair, or your 'well meaning friend', hilariously.

If trying to call me names etc makes you feel better because you've been caught out, then feel free :)

You still havnt told us exactly what happened?

The first thread you posted you told us it was your friend that got it wrong and admitted that it was your own fault:

And in this thread, there is no mention of your friend and instead you claim ryanair got it wrong:

Good luck trying to get money out of an airline, one popular holiday company owe me £175 for the extra leg room seats I paid for and never received. They ignored my letters and only bothered to reply once I'd taken it through ABTA and even then they offered me a cheque for £10  Still waiting to hear back and this happened in early July.

Small Claims mate. I've not done it myself, but it's supposed to be a lot easier these days.

it's your smugness that winds me and others up on this forum...

READ the posts again... i clearly state that i called Ryanair... let me break it down for you in simple terms.

Me - not sure which airport
friend - thinks wrong airport
random German man - not sure
internet printout - not clear
ryanair main phone centre - wrong airport

why have i got something to avoid... I started both threads ???
