Hey,
Just started today reorganising all my audio files by tagging them all correctly and stuff like that and adding images to each one. It's going ok but when I open Media Centre on Windows 7 and go to music, it is showing albums which are not my my Music folder. I ahve told MC to show music from one specific folder but MC is still showing up an album with two tracks from somehwere else but I don;t know where it is getting them from.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Regards,
Neil

Public music. It will show evern if you remove the folder from being watched. You have to delete the files from the pubic music folder

If you open windows media player and manage the music through there you can find it. The database is the same as media center one, so then you can locate it as suggested above and delete or whatever. Also, you could try deleting everything from the library and just adding the folders you want on the WMP library options, then they should appear correctly in MC.

Right, I browsed the library in WMP and found the files at issue and opened their folder location and it just took me to a folder somehwere else on my drive where I keep a couple of audio files. That folder has other audio files in it too but only 2 of those are showing up in the library but I have not told them to be in the library. Why do they keep showing up?

Update: Think I may have sorted it. No idea how or why it was showing just a couple of the tracks from that other but it's not now anyway!

Just a for info on the back of this. MP and MC share the same library, except for art. The MC art is held in the username\appdata\local\ehome folder - caused me much confusion once upon a time :D
