gigabyte x48 please help

I'm afraid we need more info so a few questions:
- What is your complete sytem spec - particularly your MB and CPU?
- What are your memory settings - frequency, timings and voltages?
- Do you have any other memory installed other than the Kingston?
- Have you tried running memtest on each stick?
- How is the computer freezing - freezing last image, BSOD, reboots?..
- Were you having similar/any problems prior to the new memory being installed?

memory currntly running 55518 2.2 volts for testing
No other memory installed and yes memtest passes fine.
Computer freezes on last image. some times reboots but i mostly just hit the reset button for quickness now. :s

Can any 1 confirm that Tmpin0 is north bridge temp in hwmonitor as mine is at 56 degrees C idle ??

Sorry your replies have evoked yet more questions...
Your NB temps do seem warm - but i have no experience with the x48. You could try taking the side case off and blowing a desk fan on it and see if your random freezes stop? It's not the most subtle of tests but if it worked you would know you need to either reseat the NB heatsink or buy a new one or install a little fan over the top. (May be worth checking the NB voltage - it may be too high.)
- Could you list the rest of your spec - PSU, gfx...?
- When does it tend to freeze - during heavy use, gaming or random?
- Is your memory running at 1066?
- What are your other temps like - CPU and GFX?
- Were you having problems before the new memory was installed?
- How long did you run memtest?

It's not the most subtle of tests but if it worked you would know you need to either reseat the NB heatsink or buy a new one or install a little fan over the top. im running 4870 in crossfire and my psu is a edermax 550w
freezes during games/heavy use
no was running at 1000 but turned it back to 800 see if it fixed the problem but didnot.

tbh i got the mobo then the ram a fews days later didnt try and test untill i got the ram.
ran memtest for about 10mins.
Ill grab the desk fan from the loft and try.

If it's a new MB you may want to try flashing the BIOS to the latest version - if you haven't done so already?

bios update is what im just trying to do now but getting bios id check error :s
tried a lot of differnt drivers.
those temps are idle with autofan switch on.
atm my cpu is the only thing clocked ill give it another try with zero clock.

What do the temps hit under load? (the desk fan test *may* help if this were the cause - so if it remains stable it may not be the NB.) As long as your 4870 is staying under ~90 degrees under load you should be ok (ideally under 90). They're hot but within tolerance...
Until you're absolutley sure your system is 100% stable it's wise to knock off all overclocks (CPU, memory and gfx.) - so you can at least eliminate an unstable clock as a factor.

yes bios flashed and all set to default oc.
ive just run occt to monitor stuff and i found a reading that im not sure about.
3.3v starts at 3.22v but when the test starts it drops to 3.17v
5v starts at just under 5.1v and drops to just over 5v
dont know if u have run this to comapre and my nb is reporting 59c witht the psu test

I don't trust apps to monitor rails - a voltmeter is a better test if you suspect the PSU. I can dig out a link for you that explains how to test your PSU if you need it.
My NB runs at ~43 degrees - and yours does seem warm. The desk fan test should eliminate this if it was a problem - especially as you could monitor the change in temps if the system were to become stable.

Great at least your PSU passed a standard PSU test - it may be that you will eventually have to test the PSU under load but for now we'll assume all is ok.
As you have the new BIOS installed (did you reset the CMOS and load optimised defaults after the flash?), and it's now running at stock, I would persevere with the desk fan test and try to rule out/in overheating.

reflashed but didnt load optimised defaults or reset cmos all bios setting had return to default so i just set them manual.
just running prime 95 now as i noticed see if that turn up anything, allso i have removed a side fan from my case as it was slowing the freezer 7 fan down on my psu. allso upgraded the rear exhaust fan.
see what happens.
ps 1 thing i noticed is that the systemp is located at the bottem of the board right by the 2nd gfx card.
