Because thats 6 goals conceded, against teams so bad they won't make it into the world cup, teams so bad, some of them feel they've had a great qualifying campaign if they get a single win, or even a couple draws. Being happy those teams didn't score against you, is dismal.
I'll point out again, played a poor France, lost, Played a great Spain and were utterly not involved in the game, it was like watching Arsenal beat some low league team, with a youth team, and utterly demolishing them, how the scoreline was as low as it was I don't know. We managed a draw, with a very very average Holland. World cup winning form, no.
Frankly we'd be better off, with that team, playing a 3-5-2 if we had too. The amount of times Ferdy was shouting at Johnson to get in position, Johnson is horrific defensively and completey over estimated going forwards. Yes he had lots of space, because we were mostly playing a 3-4-3 but playing 2 guys in the right wing slot, of course they had plenty of space to run in against a single defender. The defence could work better if Johnson simply wasn't expected to be there, its adjusting every single attack to see where Johnson's parked himself this time.
Notice how fantastic Ferdy's looked at centre back, just like Carragher, since Johnson became their right back.
Considering his final ball into the box was so frequently pathetic, it doesn't really make up for the defensive weakness he introduces, likewise against a better team, because Ukraine aren't very good, his defensive weakness will kill us and his lack of real ability going forwards won't help us.

So Johnson's to blame for Carraghers complete lack of form this season? Perhaps it's because Carragher, who's played on the left side of the two centre backs for the last month, has to cover for Johnson all the time? Oh wait...

Well take a look at our group it wasn't difficult.
It's not so much the number conceded but the manner in which we've conceded them, most were on the back of schoolboy errors from situations where there was no danger.
In addition to the qualifiers we've also conceded 2 farcical goals to Holland.
Why do you think he started Ferdinand over Upson? Ferdinand declared himself fit. It's hardly a difficult choice is it. West Ham fan by any chance?
