Any electronics whizzs here, that can help with my problem below.

My 2 year old Philips electric shaver wouldn't retain its charge so I took it apart and replaced the battery's with equivalent Ni-Cads 800mAh were in it (I used 800s).

It works but they strange thing is that it will not charge using its charger.. I have to take it apart everytime to charge it in a wall charger.

Any ideas ?

I think you damaged a cable when taking it apart, so the charger no longer has access to the batteries.

As Jon has already pointed out - you may have damaged a connection or solder point when taking it apart. Take it apart again and inspect the inside gubbins closely for any lose connections or any signs of damage etc...

If it's an expensive shaver it may be worth investing in a cheap soldering iron and a quick youtube tutorial if it's a soldering issue.

What FSB speed was it running at?
What cooling did you have on it?
What on earth does this have to do with PC hardware?

FSB? it has a "For Shaving Bristles" factor of 1000 Mega "hurts"
Cooling? Some Gillette "MX3" afterwards and alls good
PC hardware? Why yes its personal care hardware.. didnt you know.

Note: I apologise for this post but im about to goto work and i really dont want to >.>
