Which discs and pads?

they are just OEM spec disks and pads. Works out about £15 less than a motor factors. i would stick to a motor factors for that

My friend used the same mintex setup as linked but on his Focus and from what I could gather he found them totally fine, and he drives the car hard. I would personally use them without a second thought.

Using the ebay mintex ones you can do the fronts for £52.45, the rears for £44.50.

Brembo discs are absolutely awful. The Mrs (she pootles) managed to warp 2 sets of discs without even trying in her A3. I'd avoid, even GSF said "we get a lot of these back in the first 3 months" and refunded us without any quibbles.

I'd go OE discs, Pagid/Mintex pads or if you're feeling flush "Frodo" DS2500s.

I am leaning towards a set of mintex disks and padas off ebay for £130 odd.

Also iaind, just take it to a fast fit place, they should charge around £50 for fitting.

Brembo discs are absolutely awful.

This has never been my experience. I've always found Brembo discs to be fine.

I'll probably be getting the Mintex stuff myself. Will see if it warms up in the next few weeks (unlikely), if not I'll pay the garage next door to do it

Probably the wrong pad compound with poor bedding in procedure for that particular pad let to cermentite build up on the disk rather than it actually warping.

Usual story when ever anyone mentions warped disks TBH

I got the mintex set i linked to earlier, did them last weekend. Was a nice simple job, and you could tell the difference straight away. Still bedding them in at moment though.

Brembo plain discs are awesome on my Civic, seem to take a lot more hammer than the OE disc.

I am going for Pagid from eurocarparts, should be exactly the same as Mintex in theory.
