Can i get my stolen phone blocked ???

Guys is it possible for me to get my stolen N95 8GB blocked so the person who stole it can't use it ???

If yes...How or where do i go to get it blocked ?

You should be able to phone your provider and get them to block the IMEI number and the SIM.

The network will block the last handset your sim was in if you dont know the IMEI number. But you probably have the box, so you can tell them the IMEI from that.

Yes i still have the box with the IME number...I try go to my provider tomorrow and see what they say...

(I did phone them and asked them to block my phone and they said that they couldn't block it :confused:

i've heard of them not blocking unregistered payg, but that was a while ago.

You can get the handsets unique 'ID' called an IMEI placed on a blacklist database, which blocks the handset being used on any network in the UK and thus rendering it obsolete. It can still be used abroad however

Mine was registered as am on £20 per month..

Had £100 off the phone when i bought it by exteneding my contract by 18months (was £499 payed £399)..

is there any point in network blocking the phones, isnt it just as easy to unlock them??

I didn't think it was possible to unlock phones which had been blocked due to them being lost/stolen, as the network blacklist the IMEI on the phone.

They can change the IMEI.....illegal I believe but still doable

Yeah.. they can

Its a bit of a pain to do i think. As mentioned by others the phone can still be used in other countries... no doubt the best option for the person who stole it
