I absolutely love the last shot. How did you get that 70's/80's photograph look and could you post an original to compare?
 
Without wanting to sound like a killjoy.

The last photos is ok, but it does require some cropping. If you've been on safari, you'll see a lot of photos like this. Getting a decent angle is hard though, as you do run the risk of the subject eating you, or at least giving you a jolly good mauling.
 
I don't think the lion needs cropping - I think the large blurred pinhole vignette works really well, the empty space gives the lion his 'kingdom'. It's a good shot, with fantastic PP that suits the image :)
 
I'm with uv here. Even though conventional wisdom tells you that the picture "must be dull because the subject is in the middle", I think if you crop the image you lose too much of the empty space and it makes the picture somehow less powerful.
