I think you mean Kaspersky.

I've used all 3 exstensively, and NOD remains the best in my eyes, then probably bullguard. Have gone off kaspersky since the new version: it's counter intuitive to use and more bloated than the previous one.

Bullguard I think is built off bitdefender, so it has good credentials, though the main advantage to BG is that it's very easy to use, and the gamer version is supposedly more lightweight. As an AV you can't go wrong with it really. The bullgaurd support is also second to none. You can IM support staff from the program and your problem is usually sorted in minutes.

Do you get 3 licences with this retail version as you do the normal version of bullguard?

Why is the 'Gamer Edition' lighter weight than the regular one, what is it missing ? ...or perhaps I should ask why the regular version is more of a resource hog than the 'Gamer Edition' ...why can't they just make one efficient program ? ...smells like marketing bs to me.

It automatically turns off windows update, scans, definition updates and popups while gaming and can auto config the firewall to the correct settings when a game is loaded if it has a profile. :)

Bllx I just got a new AV :(

If this is the one with 3 licences then I would be very tempted to move.

OR you could just set up the PC properly if you were that serious and schedule such things "out of hours". Would only take a couple of minutes :p

Hmmm ok, I suppose if you don't already do all that sort of configuring as a matter of course then it could be useful.

It doesn't really do anything I don't already; I never use Windows Auto-Update anyway, always have and probably always will do it manually.

It would make more sense to me, as a consumer at least, if they simply put a 'Game Mode' that does the above into their 'regular' version, rather than specifically marketing a "Gamer Edition" however, this would make them less money in all probability.

if this has 1 yr subscription and 3 licenses, does that mean (as i only have one computer) i can get 3 years of subsciption on it (with uninstall/reinstalling it)?

No unfortunately not (I don't think)
I'm guessing the timer starts as soon as you install it on the 1st PC (just means you can use the same license on 2 other machines but still be limited to the same start date)... I'm not 100% sure though
