Best card for £150

change of direction totaly. want the nvidia gtx 275 now, got great reviews and spec, good price i think, i just hope it plays nfs on max settings, can any1 advise pls

expensive for what they are. Low stocks means that the price is holding around the £170 mark and there are far better bang for buck options around. A 4890/5770 will offer similar performance for less money. An overclocked 260 will do the same.

For £150 I would second the suggestion for an overclocked 260 if you want an nvidia card. The EVGA or Gigabyte cards offered by OcUK will rival a stock 275. You also get one of the games of the year included, which is a plus over the 4890.

im leaning towards the vapor-x 4890 now, been reading tests etc.
in the real world how does this compare to the gtx's?

What about other factors like power draw, noise and physical size of the card?

I was deciding between a GTX 260 and a 4890 a few months ago and finally went for the 260 because, even though the 4890 is the same length, the power connectors are on the top (they were on the back of the 4890) and I was concerned it might not fit in. I'd also heard the 4890 wasn't the world's quietest card (the Vapor-x wasn't released at the time).
