Hi guys

In the next 7 days ill have around £240 to update my pc
(E6600-Gigabyte P965 DS3-4Gig Kingston HyperX-Antec 900-ATI4850)

So far im looking at
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 810 2.60GHz (Socket AM3)

Cpu- how good will it overclock with the stock cooler? or aftermarket cooler? plus is it worth the money?

Mobo-How reliable is it? how good is it at overclooking? plus how good is it with crossfire?

Triple Channel DDR3 will work fine on any DDR3 motherboard. It just won't run in triple channel unless a triple channel memory controller is present.
 
Yes it will work, but wasting money buying triple channel kit for a dual channel board.

Not a waste when that 3GB of RAM is half the price of 4GB of RAM. Yeah, 4GB dual channel is preferable, but it depends if he wants to extend his budget any further.

Cant realy extend it to much unless its realy worth the extra money

Thought of getting a black edition as these are generally easier to overclock (or that was my impression anyway). Also are people still having success unlocking the AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition to 4 cores? If so this may be a better option.

Yeah i have thought ov geting the black edition but its an extra £38 that i dont need to spend if the one im looking at will overclock.

Also are people still having success unlocking the AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition to 4 cores? If so this may be a better option.

will it run as good as a real x4

how well will a AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 810 2.60GHz (Socket AM3) overclock with the stock Hsf/How reliable is it plus is it worth the money.

how good and reliable is the Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AMD 785G (crossfire/overclocking/on so on).
