Got my finger dangling over the buy button but i need to be convinced that i will get better temps than i do currently.

Idle temps at 4Ghz ( 1.3v ) range from 23 to 28 degree.

Under 100% load i get to the high 70s

Will the H50 reduce these load temps?

Not sure the H50 is going to beat those temps

mine at 4ghz (1.33volts) idles at between 32 to 36

Ive got this :

Its a lot bigger than it appears in the pics, i posted a pic in this thread on page 12

Only problem it blocks the first ram slot

Can't you have the fan on the other side of the heatsink? Then it would atleast be blowing the hot air out the back of your case.
Don't worry i've just looked how the fan attaches to the heatsink.

Interesting meatloaf ,

Looks like a decent cooler. However being fair you'd expect the H50 to exceed its performance or by minimum match it. Its beefy but not quite the presence of a True or Megahalems. But i cant argue with those temps. Very hard to change if its working that well.

Was speedstep enabled ?

McT

right just sorted my h50 out and at minute my idle temps are 28,24,28,24 not done laod temps as only just built the pc but i will do in due course

my cpu is a i7 860 stock settings

Its disabled in the bios but the multi still jumps between 9 and 20 at times so not sure whats happening there. No doubt its helping with the temps but its working so im happy :)

Thats pretty sweet.

Mine are 36,33,37,33 idle. On stock cooler with stock settings.

Hoping for a H50 and overclock at 4.2GHZ. My next thing to do :D

here we go i did a stress test of 20 runs didnt go passed 59c on full load, this is on stock settings will hit the oc button and see how that performs, then i shall attack it using my rog oc station unit, this is using the thermal paste that corsair put on.will try mx-5 when all testing is done.

I was interested to see what this cooler would be like at stock settings so i loaded default settings but with speedstep disabled so its sat at the stock 2.6ghz

its idling at 23-27 and at full load its 38-40 i think id be able to get it even cooler if i put the stock corsair fan back on , ive been really impressed with this unit compared to my noctua i even bought two apache fans for the noctua in push pull but the H50 knocks spots off it

at 4ghz its dropped my temps by around 10 degree's over the noctua

what are your ambient room temps ?

no use posting idle temps when its prob 15oc in your room and someone elses room is 30oc.

that cooler is amazing tbh, i'm getting 73oc under load with custom watercooling.

triple rad, ek supreme block, 295 gtx in the loop ( 40oc idle ) 1/2" tubing and one of them small black flat pumps ( i forget the name with the little res on top not the pro one ) i must have something setup wrong i expected 60-65oc prob 70oc when @ 4-4.2ghz

thats 3.8ghz 73oc x20 x180
