What foods won't you eat?

There's nothing I wouldn't/won't eat. There are foods I'm not so keen on, but I would try anything.

Won't eat Tofu, Sweetmeats, offal, Blackpudding, Nik Nacs, maccy Ds (is that food?).

Tofu makes me projectile vomit.

Not so keen on fish as I've almost been a victim of a fish bone (even had the 'scope up my nose to look at the damage).

Most fish derived foods. However i can eat cod/plaice/haddock and chips, tinned tuna and anything along the lines of fish fingers/cakes.

I don't eat sausage very often, if it all. Ever since I got a guided tour of Matteson's in the 70s to see how it's made I've sworn off it.

I'll eat most stuff, but the really cheap hot dogs and burgers often available from a grey trailer at some small community event are for last resort only... I'm not overly keen on sauerkraut without anything else to go with it. I've never tried sushi, but I'm not adverse to the idea of it. Also, I prefer not to have tofu products, but if theres nothing else, then go for it!...

Basically what I'm saying is that I will eat any food, as long as it didn't drop in a pile of dog poo and it costs more than 2p per tonne to produce.

Cabbage and sprouts are my two big ones. There are others which are too numerous to list, but don't go too far off the scale of my revolting-o-meter. However, I will happily eat brains, balls, dodgy-looking mushrooms, insects, etc if they're cooked right.

Basically, if I've never had it before, I'll give it a go before deciding it's revolting. :p

I won't eat anything with hydrogenated fat, I won't eat crisps, sweets, microwave food, I won't eat food that isn't meat that contains saturated fat, I won't drink milk or alcahol, I won't eat dairy, I won't eat anything with poor nutritional value.

My daily diet consists of:

Oats/Pasta/Rice
Chicken/Fish - occasionally other meats like mince beef or sausages for a treat
Vegetables
Eggs

Every day.

 I am sure i am not alone in thinking that this is a very strange way to live your life? Sounds grueling.

My 5 year old is less fussy than a lot of you, if she turns her nose up at anything without trying it she gets nothing else. She is sensible enough to realise that your tastes change through time and if there is something she doesn't like she will give it another go after a few months.

I have preferences but if hungry I would eat anything that was edible and didn't harm you. I despise people that say they will not eat a particular food and have not even tried it.

At work I brought in sausage rolls made out of haggis and all excluding one tried them and loved it. The one who didn't was a ******.

Sweetmeat or sweetbread I wonder. I thought sweatmeat was crystallised fruit and sweatbreads were glands like thymus or testicles....

Quite - although it's a myth that sweetbreads = testicles.

Sweetbreads are delicious though, although they need to be cooked properly. Had pigs trotter stuffed with morels and veal sweetbreads on monday, om nom nom nom!
