Games you hate, but everyone else loves.

i wish resident evil would go back to its roots :( i miss the older games i.e 1, 2, 3:Nemesis and CV. I hated 5, traded it in the other day as i got fed up by the time i reached that bat creature thing.

i dont actually hate any games though, just find them quite bad.

actually i hate FF12. VII, VIII and X were all great games, then the battle system changed.

and bioshock!

Talk about missing the point, I'm glad you're not calling any shots at Capcom or it seems my favourite game at this point in time would have been ruined. :(

Infact what you just complained about is pretty much the same thing for every fighting game going...they are games that don't particularly need to evolve at all. 3D fighting games come and go, 99% of them are rubbish and standard 2D gameplay is superior.

p.s. you can go around your opponent, you just jump over them or cross them up. Some characters also have moves that place you behind your opponent. (Fei-Long has this I believe at least, few more if you include teleports) Being able to simply 'move' to the side of your opponent just sounds dumb and wouldn't work with 2D gameplay.

That's not true. I am talking about a proper 3D fighter. Even Tekken Dark Resurrection on the PSP gives you the ability to interact with the environment, and to also double tap down or up, allowing you to actually circle your opponent. I'm not on about getting behind them, I'm talking about a game that does not involve left and right, but a full 360 degree combat system. What do you say to the mind blowing 10 to 15 moves that each character has? Hardly deep and engrossing is it?

What Street Fighter 4 is, is basically a graphical update of a game that came out in 1995. Tell me one feature of it that makes it head and shoulders above any other fighting game this decade. Tell me something that makes it innovative. Because so far it looks like I've spent money on a game that got rave reviews from absolutely everywhere, but still plays exactly like Street Fighter Alpha.

Final Fantasy XII.

I seem to be among the vast majority who only played the game to the end because I wanted to see if it got any better (it didn't).

I found the battle system aweful, the characters either annoying, dull or completely uninteresting, the reason most of the characters were part of the main plot was laughable, the main charcters driving goal was "I WANNA BE A PIRATE YARGH!" which made me hate him from the word go....the interaction between characters was bad, there was no real character development besides Balthier continuousely echoing my disdain at everything anyone else did (I'll admit I did like him) and in the end at least doing something heroic (something the main character managed to avoid).

Eugh I just hate it.

Didn't enjoy GTA V, sold it after a month because I had no motivation for playing it

Oh yeah, god of war for psp. I assume it's the same for ps2/ps3 versions. The story is pathetic and you basically just mash buttons for hours. Was awful!

Dead Rising. I don't hate it, just really couldn't get on with it and while smacking zombies around is fun it never gripped me.

Halo. Just don't see what the fuss is with this, it's another FPS game but in space.

Bioshock. Wanted to love it but never could.

Farcry. Was getting into it until the monsters turned up. I then turned the game off and never played it again.

Dead Rising - monotonous - suffered severe slooooooooooooooooowdowns

Bioshock - Not going into this again, but it's crap, dire gameplay, monotonous

GoldenEye64 - Hate how 99.9% of people who say they like this were probably wiping their cack on their cot when it was released, it's the burberry of the console games - it's just a fashion thing to like it

Halo(s) - I actually think considering it's meant to be a flagship product for the Xbox console(s) - the graphics are pretty crap and boring story!

Football Management - boring as hell, I just don't see the point of them at all!

All these retro XBLA/PSN titles - Games like that had an ingredient of excitement when they were first released, that excitement and freshness is impossible to program or implement in these 'remakes' making them nothing more than a look into the past. Again, it's fashionable to be retro.

I'm with you on this one, I was playing decent multiplayer games on the PC when this was released.

I played Goldeneye when it was released and to be fair the multiplayer was the saving grace.

Skate annoyed me.. good concept, but it would constantly suffer from framerate judder and was too fiddly to just pick up and play

Call Of Duty, ANY of them.

Hate them with a passion, they are NOT the best game since sliced bread, and Modern Warefare DOES NOT count as 5 or 6.

Ohh it makes me angry people talking of that game...
