Could have a raised angle at the edge of the platform so wheels can't keep travelling. Still allowing easy access on the train?
then you have drainage issues and risks of old people etc slipping on the slope when boarding/disembarking

Surely they already have those issues?And little drains are all ready built in for water hazards aren't they?
You sets of gates that open outwards along the platform so no matter where the train stops you'd always be able to get out of the doors.

Doesn't matter if it does, because you can still go to either side of the post. Another option is barriers that raise up like bollards which avoids that problem, similar to barriers at a level crossing.
