To celebrate Gamespot's "All Time Greatest Game Hero" award to Half-Life's Dr. Gordon Freeman we are offering all Half-Life games at 55.8% off!

There are other great game heroes, and we're gonna let you play with them, but Gordon Freeman is THE BEST GAME HERO OF ALL TIME at least according to 55.8% of the gaming public - thank you to all who voted.

Who actually hasn't bought Half Life by now though? :p

Normally I'd say these offers are good for newcomers to PC gaming, but to be honest I suspect HL is too dated now for most newcomers.

I'd recommend Orange box to newbies still, but that's not discounted in this offer.

HL and CS look sadly dated after being on brand new FPS games or even CSS, but you can get used to it.

Sames goes for the first C&C after being on C&C3, the mind boggles to recall how awesome they were once upon a time.

true, a pc newcommer would just rip hl1 apart and compare it to currant xbox games, it would bring a tear to my eye.

You say rip apart, I read discount. As much as I disparaged those raving about Elite and Final Fantasy IV [Famicom/Japanese version} when I first got into gaming, I can appreciate that standpoint now - games aren't what they used to be. The console-ravers nowadays - they just don't know. I feel your pain.

But £17 quid for HL2, Ep1, Ep2, TF2 and Portal is still one of the best game deals ever.

Do you get any HL1 stuff with it? When I bought HL2 when it first came out it came with the back catalogue of HL1 games and addons.

I hate half-life weekend deals ................every single gamer already has all these..

But they could have done 55.8% off L4D2.....:p
