I wonder if the uproar is that great that they will patch it after release?

I won't be cancelling my pre order. Although I do play the MP more than the SP I'm not going to judge it till I've played it.
 
That's my pre order cancelled, if they offer some reassurance its fake then its a decision I can easy fix again, its not about the money, £30-40 isn't a great deal for something that will occupy the clan for 12 months but I refuse to support them financially in this direction.
 
I was so hoping that this was just going to turn out to be pre-release bull**** made up by some troll's, i just googled 12 of the biggest game server suppliers and guess what, there is either no mention of MW2 or "pre-orders closed" is displayed. The 17th October 2009 will go down in history as the day CoD died. The lack of response from IW and Activision right now is appaling, and "anti-piracy" being part of why they have done this is a joke, MW2 WILL be THE most pirated game in history purely due to what THEY have done.
 
The GSP's would not have taken the game servers off the shelf it there was not some serious weight to this, and with "twitter" and such, if it was a hoax, someone from IW or Activision would have made some kind of comment, the silence from them is quite fitting though tbh, i kinda feel like i'm at a wake. :(

Man, the IW/MW2 forum is just retarded.
Half the people seem to believe that FPS games are BETTER on the console than the PC :/
 
I have cancelled mine.

Turning this game into an even more so console port is simply insulting to the PC community. Here we are sitting here with our £1000+ rigs and they throw this piece of **** at us. No chance.
 
TBH though, how did none of you guess that this game was going to be consolized mess when they announced it was going to cost £50!

How was anyone to guess that they would take one of the biggest reasons that PC MP is better than console MP and remove it? Considering dedicated servers have been in COD1, COD2, COD4 and COD5, there was no reason to suspect otherwise.
