Got the -1 a few days ago. Using the 955 AMD. Had ordered the bracket from Corsair a few weeks ago. The new AMD bracket is (IMO) inferior to the old one. The one corsair sent me ($5 inc postage) is a far more sturdier bracket. The new one is plastic and has 4 quite small screws with plastic grommet insets. The original bracket has far more bulky sturdier screws. Went with the old bracket and found it far easier to fit.Using 2 Noctuas in a push/pull config blowing out of the rear too. Tried the Corsair method but found it cooler the other way.

Can't remember what other brackets were in the box!!! I know thet were all plastic with the small thin screws and plastic insets.Much prefer the old bracket,tried to put the new one on first, then tried the old one.Easier to put the old one on and feels more secure.Have the box in the attic so can check later if you want.
The 1136,1156 and 775 are all on the same bracket now, three sets of mounting holes. It also came with the AM3 bracket.
The H50-1 with the new retention ring/bracket looks to be coated black alluminium, the backplates are hard plastic - same material fans are made out of.
Two retention ring/brackets, one is universal 775/1156/1366, the other one is AM3.
