I'm utterly useless at this sort of thing. I'm getting married in january and need to organise a fairly decent honey moon on a very VERY tight budget. We have £1000ish to spend on flights and accomodation. We arent particularly fond of extreme heat and sunshine but do like architecture and old cities. We also love the snow!

Can anyone think of anywhere that would fit the bill? I have been googling for 3 days now and I am still no closer to finding somewhere.

Go to venice, or maybe malta? Malta and gozo have some pretty impressive architecture also they are home to the oldest freestanding building in the world.

I'm going to Malta next month for 4 nights - £40 for flights and accommodation. Booked it two days ago.

When I'm on a budget I just head to Ryanair.co.uk and see where they're going from Bristol on the cheap.

I loved the time i spent there, but i doubt the gf would want to go again as she is always wanting to explore new places.

Well we got married in Salzburg. Has great buildings and culture, stunning scenery and a pretty good chance of snow. The city is clean the people are nice, the food is great and most of all its safe. Been going there for over 30 years and never seen or heard of any trouble at all.

Plenty of good places around that area to stay. Cheap flights in if you book in advance - ours are normally 1.99 each way.
