Whos car has the highest mileage?

I don't think I've ever had a car with over 100k on the clock. The highest I can remember was my first ever Astra with 97,500 miles.

Boxster has just gone over 30,000 miles recently so I doubt I'll be hitting the big 100k for a while yet.

Umm, my 97 festa has 36k on it, and my 52 plate Neon has 45k.

Do I win something?

Well, my grandparents' '93 fez which I drove only had 44k on it before someone wrote it off by driving into the back of it this time last year :( that at least comes close! Also disqualified by the rules of matt82, but hey, I can live with that ;)

Currently on 77k.

oh noes you cant claim the kudos of such a low mileage minter :D

One would have hoped i would have learnt some maintenance procedures in 7 years, i drive it like i stole it, i have also changed minor things like plugs, rad, leads, AFM, shocks, springs, brakes etc.

one clutch lastest 2 days of drifting, the gearbox died after a drift day also. doh.

193k on my 02 A4 diesel.
Very happy as I havn't spent any money on it, cambelf is due though, so will have to get that done.

You obviously cannot drive, the gearbox in the mx5 is nigh on indestructible.

As are 1.8 diffs.

My Polow only has 98.5k up it so you best get your high mileage sheds out me road when you see me cruising. :D

Original Viscous diffs surrered from wear and lack of maintenance, lots now won't lock at the proper rates, the Torsen diffs are a much better bet and built much stronger.

I think the Torsen was only fitted Mk2 onwards, can't be sure though some late Mk1 1.8's might have got them.

Viscous diffs were only on 1.6s. The 1.8 never had them, they had open diffs in the uk (mostly) and most jdm got a torsen from 1993 onwards i.e. from the start of the 1.8 production.
