UK Boarder Force - What a joke!

I am not against controlled immigration but with the amount of unemployed we have we don't need it at the moment. especailly people who probably can't speak english and have no chance of gaining employment.

I just don't get why it is "harder" to deport someone once they are in, they should be escorted to where they think their documents are and if they don't have them detained for a while and then deported.

I am all for human rights but it is prtty obvious if they are illegal they are going to do a runner if you don't keep an eye on them.

I would take these type of threads and the anti-immigration comments more seriously if there weren't such obvious agendas in play and people weren't so ****ing racist.

The department is a mess, the program is a government self ego stroke.

I find it amusing to watch compaired to the Australian effort.

Australia actually have border controls worth wasting oxygen talking about.

I don't know how many cutters they have, but its a lot. France has fifty iirc.

We have three. Three patrol vessels for the whole UK and isles. To cover more coastline than France.

Easy to see how we are amazing at border control.

What has race got to do with that response? what's your issues with race?

Lol, race has everything to do with it. As if people would blow up half as much if it weren't blacks, Asians and Muslims "flooding" in.

I'm not saying you specifically are concerned about race and I'm not implying everyone in this thread is but a lot are.

What annoys people like myself is the fact that if you do it the correct way its costs thousands of pounds and is a real hassle. My wife is american, we got married here, she went home, applied for residency and has been here 2 years. In jan we have to pay a stupid amount for her permenant visa.
Weve decided not to bother as my residency visa for the US will be through by then.

Then you watch tv and see people just arriving and doing a runner. And wonder why you bothered spending all that money.

So the Poles (who happens to be white) are never mentioned and slagged off here? What about all the other Eastern Europeans that's almost in the news daily for rapes and murders? They aren't black or Asian. I don't see anyone jumping in and screaming racism when Poles are slagged off but mention a person of colour and the chest thumping begins.
Again, what's your issues with race?

I don't understand that if they don't have a passport they can't hold them, they let them go and ask them to appear at a later date like there going to do that.

Weird. For the partners of EU citizens (not British though) it's free to apply for ILR via form EEA4. Wonder why others get it free and we have to stump up money

Was it ILR?

I rarely see white immigrants "slagged" off on here in comparison to non-whites. Also, white immigrants are harder to identify as being immigrants by the average member of the public anyway; unlike a woman in a Burka who stands out and inevitably will attract more ire.

Don't try and claim a lot of this isn't about race. The comment I quoted was talking about a black guy implying that he was off to do the typical thing and rape someone.

Yeah, real unbiased viewpoints.
