Ram for ASUS P5N-D?

Ok so I missed out on the above deal - kicking myself!!
Is there any other bargains out there - looking to get some ram ordered today.
 
I have an asus p5n-d and I had twin2x4096 6400cd5hx but have just bought

dominator twin 2x4096-8500c5d and I have installed the new ram but when I power up the pc there is no signal to my monitor the fans stay on but it doesnt bootup.

Any ideas? Do I need to adjust anything to make these sticks work.

Looking at the new sticks I see the voltage is 2.1 wheres my old sticks are 1.8

Do I need to change these manually? In the bios everything is currently set to auto and I have no idea how to change it.
 
Is there anyone out there that has got corsair dominator 8500c5d 1066mhz to work with a asus p5n-d motherboard and q6600 cpu?

Is so did you have to change the settings at all and if so what bios settings did you change?

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated

Going to try today to get this to work then going to have to replace it.
 
I don't have this RAM or motherboard but the first thing to try is resetting the CMOS and then rebooting.

If that doesn't work then take out all the sticks of RAm except one and see if that allows it to boot. Then post back here.

I have tried both of those options but no luck any other ideas?
