*** ATi 58** Update ***

Good evening,

Been busy over the last couple of days trying to secure more allocation on the latest 58** cards.

Arriving in the next 24 - 48 hrs we have the following.

60 x Sapphire 5870
10 x VTX 5850
5 x VTX 5870
30 x Sapphire 5850
30 x XFX 5850
10 x XFX 5870

Will keep you updated with what arrives when and will update what is left after pre-orders in the morning.

Long shot mate but I don't suppose you have any idea of when to expect the Vapor-X version to reach retail?

DearMr Fatboy, it looks like I have a dead XFX 5850 and will sort out with you guys in the morning. Will you be able to keep one of the XFX's by as a replacement so I can get up and running asap?

As we are Sapphire's number 1 direct partner in the UK we will be the first as to when the part will be available I can not give you a firm eta.

Can not promise what will happen to be fair but I will try and help you out. Have you got an RMA number yet ?

BTW what is a warranty for VTX 5850? Is it just a year?

I can not get access to the info from home I am afraid will look into this in the morning for you. All i know is Asus is very very low on allocation. If your out of the first five or ten I would reccomend changing.

Are all the 5850's pretty much the same, other than warranty, as in will they all vary the fan speed depending on temperature and also allow you to set this manually? My 3870 wouldn't vary the speed and I'd like to get rid of my manual fan controller..

Well, looks like ASUS 5850 cards landed on germany like on thusday. Seems there's stock more than they sell easily comparing to prices ain't that bad. Just wonder how the heck they get the cards, if they are out of stock style on near anywhere else. Week before we had newegg boasting thousands of cards. Just curious.

I would recomend changing over m8 to be honest. I don't think you will make the next two deliveries I am afraid.
