Is the 4770 a good budget upgrade to my 3850?

I'm just looking for something to give me a little boost over my 3850, I'm wary of budget and power usage.

What do you reckon?:

To the above poster, a 3Ghz Core 2 Duo is perfectly fine in modern games.

As the Op likely already knows, a new GPU is going to yield the biggest improvement in gaming perfromance.

The 4770 is a good card, but at this price point I would suggest look towards the 4850. It is £6 more expensive and performs a good chunk better.

If you can reach a bit further, the 4870 is a great price these days and performs very well.

If you going to keep the card a while it maybe be worth getting the dx11 card if you can strech to it,if dx11 don't bother you then a 4850 will be a good boost
