Ok, so as some of you may know I'm in the market for a Volvo V70. Where should I look?

I'm currently looking at:
  • Ebay classifieds
  • Autotrader website
  • Pistonheads
  • Volvo Owners Club forum

I feel I'm still missing a lot of private sales . Anywhere else?
 
Have you tried the Autotrader Mag aswell? Not everybody puts it on the webby for some reason :S? Whilst looking for the missis we found quite a few in the Autotrader that we not on the webby. Hope you find what your looking for.

To be honest the first 3 are where 90% of people will be advertising - its not a specialist car so the mainstream places should net you something.

You could also try Adtrader, Gumtree, local paper or even local auctions

I had a quick look at this weeks one before buying but there's very little in there :(

I've got an odd question. What would a dealer do with a part exchange vehicle like what I'm after? They don't seem to sell ones older than 5 years in their used bit. Is it worth an ask?
 
Depends on the car and the dealer - if its the sort of car they would sell, they'll valet it/fix it up and sell it on themselves.

Otherwise it would probably go to auction where it would get snapped up by another dealer who would want to sell it.

Might be worth going to Volvo and asking if they've had any in part ex they want to get rid of - got to be worth a quick call
