So how many people here are guilty of leaving the fridge door open while you pour some milk onto cereal or get a drink out?

I just find it a waste of time to close the door just to open it again 10 seconds later again, but the rest of my family seem to close it for me if they see me doing it :P

on the subject of fridges

how come my fridge doesn't really keep drinks/beer cold enough yet bags of salad freeze in it ?

Consequence of heat capacity, leave the drinks in it for longer before you drink them :)

Cats in a fridge is interesting, mine always hated the cold.

I always leave it open becuase I'm far too lazy to do otherwise. Perhaps my cat is lazy too, as he doesn't jump in the fridge, or perhaps your cats are just masters of their trade.

i close it but only because it closes itself, i often try to open the door to a point of equilibrium by which i can then not have to re-open the door to replace the milk, but i seldom succeed at this and have to open it again anyway :(

Leave it open, only takes me a few seconds to pour a drink/pour milk on cereal.

And we don't own any cats.

Consequence of heat capacity,

This!

leave the drinks in it for longer before you drink them :)

But not this!

I leave the door open. Usually it closes itself but I do sometimes have to go back and give it a gentle nudge to close it.

I've got a thermometer in my fridge and it takes a few minutes of leaving the door open before it moves.

because you should have steak and not salad in teh fridge. It is punishment, to have a good beer you need a good side dish, salad is not, Put steak in teh fridge and your beer will chill!
