New nvidia GPU card launch October 30th

I've been holding out on a big upgrade for months waiting for the Next big Nvidia card (prefer drivers and support) but this is getting beyond a joke now. I'm getting very tempted to go with ATI or not bother upgrading at all seeing how PC gaming is looking pretty bleak atm :(

Why?

When you could put the extra down (which probably won't be much different) on a 295GTX... which will boost both rendering and physx performance :S

Lets take votes on names shall we?

I reckon maybe "GTX275 Physx" but that's a bit lame.

Maybe "GTX 27550"?

But my favorite currently is "GTX320". They'll sell them by the boat load with that name ;)

surely it has to be GTX295 and 3/4

Do i smell a EVGA GTX gtx 295.5 FTWPWNOWNZR1337 edition?
EG a 295 with a white stripe and a new graphics stencil on the shroud

What gets me about this is either a GTX260, GTX275 or a GXT285 *is* good enough to play games like batman or mirrors edge with PhysX support, or it isn't. Are they trying to tell us that you do need a separate card for physX?

When it comes down to it, no developer would be stupid enough to release a game that relied on PhysX because they automatically alienate all ATI users. This means that PhysX will always be just extra eye candy, and it has to work well on a single GTX260 or it isn't worth the effort.

I smell a massive fail here.
