Xbox 360 X-clamp replacement worked initially but now ....

hmm i don't think so as when i was testing it at my house it turned off just fine without turning back on .... strange. I will certainly look at that tonight though. Could be the cause. Although id be rather pee'd if it was that, as it has arrows on it ffs .. lol

I have just been given an a free borked 360. Been told to to register it to see if I can blag a repair. When I go to register it says that a problem has occurred and I need to contact customer service to complete my request. Is there any point in ringing up as the Manufacture date on this thing is 13/12/2005. I wasn't expecting a free repair that's why I'm waiting on an X-Clamp kit to arrive so I can bake it and use the kit.

Why not, what have you got to lose, apart from the cost of a phone call (can't remember if it's free!)?

Ok now i have had the misses on the blower saying that the xbox is turning off fine, but after a few hours of gaming she has had a bit of pink artifacting (lines and dark greens, from her explanation .....

Any ideas on that one dreXel?

All down to the same fault, the artifacts/strange colours will get worse and it'll RROD/E74/lose video again :(

Lame ...

Looks like i might have to see it for myself first, as i left it running the games intro for hours with no issus at all. I might have another looks over the weekend. Clean repaste and tighten it as much as safely possible and hope that it gets sorted.

If not ill temp fix it, trade it in for credit and get a replacement :D
