World Fattest Man needs Life Saving Op... courtesy of the NHS

He drinks oxo and milk? :(

Its laughable, its so funny that it was a joke in the simpsons.

Doctor Hibbert: Homer, I’m concerned about your blood sugar levels but I’m even more concerned about your blood gravy levels.

Homer: Now, listen here doc, you tell me I should drink 6 pints of gravy a day.

Doctor Hibbert: My God, you have been grossly misinformed.

Well if nothing else it inspired me to work harder in the swimming pool last night, and do an extra 10 lengths, and I now find the laughable comment my missus made about not getting disabled badges for being ‘fat’ a load of bull. (she made this comment once to my mum as my missus has a disabled badge and my mum called her fat, and that was her only defence – at the time, and quite laughable as well).

Showed her this last night, and I think she’ll be swimming extra lengths as well, and couldn’t help but say ‘didn’t you say no one that was fat got disabled badges for being just that – fat?’ she looked very embarrassed, and quite shocked. ….. I also did extra sit-ups and push-ups last night….. lol

I’d never want to be with someone like this, or be like this myself – EVER.. I do still stand with my belief though that he should be given the op, and I do hope for all that is good in him that he sees sense and sorts this out. And I would respect that, if he lost weight and got to around 18st or something I’d respect it wholly. He’d maybe need more ops to remove excess skin, as losing weight would leave a lot of excess skin, and it’d be very hard to reduce this…..

And you cannot life like this. Its no life at all. I feel sorry for everyone involved.

The Worlds Fattest Man has had a lot of criticism lately.

It's ok though, he's taken it all with a pinch of salt. And a side of bacon, eggs, sausages, chips, fried bread, hash browns, beans, mushrooms, bubble and squeak, toast, black pudding and of course a diet coke.

:D

i don't think the personal attacks at the guy are warranted peeps. Debate about how this guy should be treated and cared for is one thing. Yup he's fat, it's a useful adjective when you point him out in a room with two people in it, the other being one being gandhi.

oxo milk, mmmmmmmmmmmm slurp non slurp nom. imagine the lumpy bits, ooooh i'm salivationg. see ya later i'm off to tesco's.

i think he should be given a second chance... and then get srs, its not hard to NOT stuff your fat face when you cant even move to get food for yourself

Treatment is worthless if he WANTS to be fat, its ridiculous, as I said if he really wants to lose weight and they offer to put him up in a facility that controls all of his food and he will have no choice to have extra, he either wants to be thin, signs on the dotted line and loses most of his weight very very quickly. Or he refuses the treatment and signs a different piece of paper that says he's refusing treatment and can do as he pleases and his doctors are no longer responsible for him.

He's 70 stone for god's sake, he literally has no chance of living to 90, he'll be lucky to live another 10 years, even if he loses 60 stone, losing 60 stone isn't going to make him instantly healthy. He'll have a heavily taxed, heavily worked, incredibly unhealthy heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, spleen, etc, etc, etc. If he lost 60 stone in the next 10 years, I still wouldn't give him more than a 1/100 chance of lasting 10 years after that.

He's probably very close to serious other health issues now, if your average fat guy starts getting into big risk ages for heart attacks at 50-60, at 48 and 70stone, this guy is a heart attack waiting to happen. After a heart attack, exercise and strengthening your heart is a huge part of preventing another one, at the moment he has no chance of that.

He needs radical change to the way he lives, not a few staples in his stomach, if he truly wants to get healthier and lose his weight, why would he not sign a consent form to be taken to a "fat camp" type place to lose the weight.

Why are people helping this guy, it's greed thats made him like this, and now its greed that lets him sleep at night when he's taking all of that tax payers money. And I can't believe he had the cheek to complain that his 3ft wide wheel chair couldn't fit through a park gate...

Sod him, he got himself this way, let him sort himself out. If he dies, then he's got no one to blame but himself.

The problem is - where do you draw the line.

You can't, humanely, let someone die. However if they are going to emotionally blackmail or abuse that you do have to draw the line.

The line is simple:
a) Provide a definitive plan for treatment - refusal or deviation results in zero help.
b) If the individual becomes a risk to himself, declare him clinically insane and place him into care where he has no freedom and define the path of treatment.

By using those points you're being humane and you're ensuring that he gets the treatment he needs.

The sheer amount of our money going into saving this fatty is amazing! if he gets better and loses his weight and pulls amazing women, fair play to the guy! But I get the feeling even after an operation he will still be pulling the pies!

Im sure this has happened before and the operation was too stressful for his heart and he died.. :( or was that an episode of casulty?

I know there was a guy from Newcastle who was 50ish stone... actually he might have been from Liverpool because he supported Everton... either way, he was told he had to lose 10 stone before the Op because he was too big.

They've either got better equipment a few years on or he's going to die in the op :/
