The elite didn't put information out about themselves, it's been out for decades now amongst a small group of researchers.
Because of mass communication such as the internet and the corporate media losing it's monopoly on what people 'know' they elite have had to resort to disinformation.

I watched it and found it interesting, I think the part about the global warming con and the massive carbon taxes which are being introduced as a result, is particularly disturbing. The laws which are being introduced in the US to police this are very sinister I think. Yet US politicians aren't being given a proper chance to analyse the legislation before voting on it.

No i've never read any of his books. I have most of his talks on divx though so I know roughly what his books are about.
The science behind global warming is inconclusive, nevermind the legislation.
I do believe that those in power are greedy and want to make as much money as possible (which makes perfect human sense since they are in the job for effectively a short term contract) every 4 years they need to reapply.
If I was on a 4 year contract I'd be trying to make as much cash as possible.
I don't think there are any other motives for anything other than greed.

Magick mate, that is just a series of clips, mashed together with no commentary to tie them together, and any of the main points being made by people in longer clips have no name or source attributed to them. Just because some chap is talking for a few minutes on a point does not make him an authority on that point, especially if his name, or what he does for a living isn't mentioned. For all I know he could be Dave, from the local corner shop, given a tenner to say some crap on video to make a point.

Never assume malice when something could be just as easily be explained by stupidity.
As for the US's decline from hegemony, I don't think it will be too swift, or too abrupt.
More like a slow unwinding, presuming California doesn't go bust and the whole country implodes in on itself.
