Ok, im gonna be 19 at 12 tonight.. and the plan for the evening is to get off my head.. The question I ask is why does most/every young person get off their faces on their birthdays and why is it the norm? Obviously the fact that people buy you drinks so you get more drunk but the sole purpose is to go out and get rattered and have a good night..

can't think of a worse way to waste my birthday tbh, sure go out and have a drink with some mates, but going out to get off your face? i just don't understand it.

I got wrecked on my 18th but my 19th I think I had one or two drinks all day.

This is what birthdays are for, its the celebration of your dad smashing your mums pasty, hence why you are getting "smashed"
