Picking up new car next weekend :D

Only thing I would say about this car in Bournemouth is that its been scuffed on the front bumper :) Mine is also albeit is slightly scuffed on the left hand side. A bargaining tool IMO.

Sorry to be negative too, but they could have at least cleaned it before they attempted to advertise it. Roof looks minging and there is bird poo on the bonnet?

You colossal nerd ;) - how can you possibly tell there's something unusual about it?

'Cos its a '52 plate with a prefacelift front bumper, just found it, its a facelift Sport with a prefacelift SE bumper, oh dear and he wants £7k for it despite 130k miles and a ruined rear bumper

OP: Buy his £10k TT 3.2 DSG instead.

hehe thanks for pointing that out, i will indeed use that to drop the price, got a m8 that can sort for peanuts thankfully. As for the bird poo, if bournemouth is anything like torquay, sea gulls are friggin everywhere!

You seem to have your heart set on an ST but there are other alternatives. All between a £9k-£11k range

Have you considered the following, not necessarily the cars in these adverts but the cars in general? I'm sure others have suggestions too.

Audi A3 3.2

Mazda 3 MPS Quicker than the ST, same chassis, cheaper & better equipped with lower mileage :)

Megane Sport F1

Got the car now, had it for 4 days and love it, in the end I paid 11.5 for the ST, but also had a major service done before sale, saving me ~300 quid and 4 brand new tyres which are ~100 a piece, so over all the car cost me about 10.5 when taking the value of the above off the price.

Not forgetting they gave me 4.5k for my old car which in all honesty I didnt expect at all, due to having a bad engine rattle and having had the engine replaced 2 years ago under warranty.

OcUK to the rescue successfully :) I don't get why they didn't put a bench in the rear of the st3, stops a lot of people buying them.

I dunno, I know 2 people that went for the st2 instead, all I have got to go on.
And if I were to get one I would want the 5th seat for when I go to football/golf and have 4 other people to take.

They couldn't afford it. Ford just provided them with a convenient excuse :)

Who regularly carries 4 passengers then buys a fast focus? The 'seat' in the middle is useless for anything except the very occasional passenger.

People on an ST owners forum reckon like most high running cost hot hatches that are appealing, people buy it without realising the running costs, that could account for number of owners.

my mate is the same, only done 2000miles in his ST2 since buying it may 2008.:o

Well i am a weird exception. I have an ST-2 which has the cloth recaro sculpted seats........with just 2 seats in the back

So i have bought an ST-2 over an ST-3, but still only have the 2 seats in the back (and no leather seats either) :p :o

its the same in the fiesta's the middle seat isnt marked out to hug the passenger sitting in there, not sculpted at all. Only the main seats are sculpted. You have got 3 belts right?

Thing is there is no seat there, I believe they are only licensed to carry 4 people, which is a bit odd. I'm sure everyone has occasions where they need 5 seats.
