Inventing ideas needed: got a semi-dead kettle

Good afternoon OcUK, I'm in an inventing mood but I'm fresh out of ideas.

I have a kettle that's developed a leak so I've had to replace it. The 3 kW heating plate at the bottom works perfectly and it still cuts out properly when it has boiled. This seems like a good enough base for an invention or home made contraption...

Come up with the right idea and I'll have a go at making it. Doesn't have to be kitchen based but I thought an automatic Super Noodle making machine would be pretty cool

Oh no, two great ideas already

I like the idea of distilling moonshine from scrumped apples. I think 3 kW will anihilate both though, unless the still is on a pretty big scale

Surely if it leaks you cant use liquid in it.

Without liquid the thermostat will reset within seconds.

hmm super noodle machine does sound good.

I used to boil a lot of eggs in kettles when i was lazy. Could go down that route.

you could also invent a hand burning machine - this could be modified to burn all kinds of bodyparts.

Serious reply - I think noddles or egg cooker would be great.

Marry it to one of those egg poaching things that fit in pans, you can get ones that do 4 eggs, add some kind of tank to fill with water and you have an electric egg poacher! Unnecessary but there you go

I'm not certain that a USB port would put out that kinda power!
