Hi Guys,

I got a new laptop and installed Windows 7.

I've never had any issues with my iPhone 3GS on my old laptop on XP, always sync'd fine, never any issues.

On this laptop however, it's extremely temperamental. Basically sometimes it works, sometimes not. If I try syncing now it kicks up the following errors:

itunes2.jpg

Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Trying to restore the iPhone back to a previous backup just crashes iTunes also.

I am experiencing something similar. The error I am getting is:

The iPhone cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.

For info I'm running a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64bit along with iTunes 9.01 64bit. I have recreated my library manually by re-importing the files from my backup of vista.

Have you tried running iTunes as an Administrator - by using the option in the right click menu or holding Ctrl + Shift when opening the program as usual?

I don't think iTunes officially supports Windows 7 yet...

My Itunes on windows 7 is running fine after a fresh install & copying my entire library back to my pc.

Hope this helps?

I have a new laptop & have held back from attaching my iphone because:
1) waiting for my Windows 7 upgrade
2) frightened of deleting everything on my iphone!

I have backed up the itunes folder on my desktop & is that the folder you mean by copying your entire library back to your pc .......... if you see what I mean!
