Obviously a license alone doesn't make a driver competent, but it does go some way to proving that they at least were at some point. More important in this is if the OP's friend ran someone over or similar he would not be insured and would be personally responsible. Your comment about sympathy with a drunk driver is stupid.

Yep, sounds like both are non-english and rather than 'misunderstanding' our laws, they're exploiting and milking them.
There are so many foreigners that don't drive legitimately. I have no sympathy! :mad:

There's two ways to deal with em!
1. Nuke em....from orbit, of course

2. Kenny Everetts method....ya know? the field? with the bomb?
