Anyone underwhelmed by Forza 3?

I ended up getting an Xbox 360 just for Forza3 and to be honest comparing to NFS Shift on the PS3, I found the game to be instantly playable, the graphics are not the strongest point of the game (but this isn’t to say its still not beautiful to look at) and the shear amount of cars, tracks and events makes this a very worthwhile game putting the hours into.

I guess after I did all I could to complete NFS shift, completing the NFS shift world tour and enduring hours of cars sliding and having the back of the car step out and spin off way too often, and have to put up with cars just driving into you for no reason, then Forza3 is certainly a lot easier to play….. Hard to explain but I don’t feel like I’m racing on ice with Forza3, the handling is so much more forgiving then NFS, playing NFS Shift certainly hardens you up for other racing games…

I’ve played loads of Racing games, and Forza3 is, as said, a dream for petrol heads and I’m pleased with it…

I’ve been playing with a 42” Plasma at 1080i, HDMI and its been perfectly fine. I love the speed, and best of all – no SCREEN TEARING…. Lol Oh how I hated GT5P and NFS Shift on the PS3 tearing… Looks awful…

FM3 has no E39 M5 and therefore is a bitter dissapointment. I cried myself to sleep last night asking how a game contaning 4 blandomatic Audi S4/RS6 things and no less than 5 M3's could only have one M5 :(

True, however the newer M5 is awful compared to the mighty M3 GTR in the game at least. Love the engine tone of that thing

Just get an E60 and you'll be much happier with the game :p

I haven't really read up much about this game (I don't really like driving games much, apart from GT series). But I do have a question - can you fiddle around with the cars settings / by parts like in GT?

Its decent enough, but after spending a lot of time on Forza 2 I don't see it as worth the time again to play pretty much the same game with a few different cars tracks and career layout.

Not that it's not worth the effort, more there are so many other titles coming in the next few months I don't think I will get enough time to put in the dedication a game like that deserves.

Once CODMW2 comes out Forza 3 will be in the bargain bin ;)

I never played Forza 2, but Forza 3 for me is fantastic. The physics are great, the car customization is great and the graphics are superb. What more could you ask for?

As well as the jaggies the texture filtering on the surfaces around the track seem to be really horrible you can literally see the lines, car shadows are also poorly done but I never expected the graphics to be amazing with it being 60fps.

One thing that really annoys me is the AI still driving through me like I'm not there and fishtailing me, it happens regularly going into the very first corner of a race.

Ive just put my Limited Edition on an auction site after spending just under a week with it.

I spent an insane amount of hours on Forza 2. Playing Forza 3, despite its great improvements, now just feels like a chore. Theres no denying its a great, no - fantastic, game and I'll end up buying it again, but I just wasnt getting the enjoyment from it I'd hoped. Forza 2 is to blame.

I envy anyone experiencing Forza 3 as their first Forza experience, I really do. For me though, my own hype as let me down and I feel cold :(

No noticable jaggies here on a 42" Panny Plasma via VGA at 720P. Likewise sound through my 5.1 surround is nothing short of amazing...Loving the tunnel sections :D

Have to agree that it is Forza 2.5 rather than a lightening step forward. However, that is by no means a criticism. The little changes make all the difference & I for one think it is pretty much spot on.
