GTX 260 or HD5770 ?

Well, you may always compare 5770 to 5850 because of their technology.

I just don't understand the hype on Radeons 5750/5770s. They lack of performance in new games, do you really expect them to give you the most out of Crysis 2 (DirectX 11) for example? Games require more and more power every few months, getting a card compatible with DirectX 11 should be reasonable.

And yes, the bandwidth is bottlenecking those cards, without OC the GPU memory you are left with something below 4870 performance. For £130? No, thank you.

My vote is go with the 5770 and keep the GTS for physx.

That way you will have dx11 compatibility and physx (should you need it)

The 4770 is around the 260, as its same performance as the 4870 (but will get better once it gets some drivers, as its got none yet), but with Dx11 etc..., so id go for that, as no point buying old tech now when the new's around same price/cheaper, and same performance.

If the 5770 lacks performance in newer games so will the 260. Pointless argument really.
The bandwidth issue is a problem but it still performs. Bandwidth is not everything.
I dont think anyone would expect a 260 to run crysis 2 at full pace let alone a 5770.
Personally unless you play mostly nvidia based games, get the 5770.
Incidently, the prices have got crazy for these cards, i personally dont think it is a good time to purchase a 5 series card right now.
