my macro rig + shots

I think mine has arrived. Got the 'you were out when we tried to deliver this' message. I'm expecting a few other things soon, so will pick them all up at the same time. :)

no problem guys, hope they come in handy.

you should be able to pick up the bolts at any nut aand bolt shop, best thing to do is take your camera along and make sure you get the right fit.

Picked mine up this morning (Yeah, I know, the Post office has silly opening times.). Thanks a lot Dan, it's very nice and very tactile. Will try and source some screws for it now. :)

Let me know where you get the bolts from. No luck here (Ealing).
Best localish place for you, assuming he's still there, will be Mac's Cameras at the corner of Hammersmith King Street and Ravenscourt Park - a shop full of old bits and pieces. It's three years since we left Ealing so I don't know what's changed....

I appreciate that famas can't make these for everyone all the time, so where else might I source one for a low price?

Focus/ b&Q sell metal shelf brackets for a few quid, get one of these and drill a few holes in it and you'll have pretty much what i made minus the sliding grove.
if you have a hack saw blade and file you could get clever and drill a line of holes next to each other, use the hack saw blade to cut through the gaps and file to grove untill it was smooth.

or get in contact with raikiri he might still have the spare one.

you should be able to find the bolts needed at any nut and bolt/hardware shop. they shouldn't be to expensive either, all you need is the corresponding stopped wing nut, screw it onto the end of the bolt untill its really tight, then just cut the bolt to lengh.
