58xx deliver stopped completely?

I am still not speaking of any single order, shop or store in the first place. I cannot understand how blind can people be here.

Conspiracy? lol.. Actually, todays marketing tactics just begins to sound like so, 4:1 on 5870:5850? All the suddenly 5 out of 8 where 3 are motherboard manufacturers and each having voltage mods are delayed? and now 'Dell' before direct customers?

but yeah, on 8800 case indeed that was the case back then kinda reminds this one.

ive just this minute ordered another 5870 it took best part of 30 mins to find some stock ,The main big 3 computer retailers are all out of stock but there are a 2-3 places with stock.

Dell (and most other OEMs) have always been put before "direct" customers; it makes far more business sense to sell thousands in one go than to sell them singly.

The ones with voltage mods are coming out later as the reference card always gets released first; admittedly the wait has been a little longer than normal, but that's due to the shortage of cards.

I don't know where you are getting the stat of 4:1 on 5870:5850, but again this makes sense. Firstly, the 5870 was released earlier so there will be more around. Secondly, if AMD can't get enough 5850s out to fill the demand they should push the 5870 out to sell as many as possible. It makes business sense. It's not a conspiracy, just clever marketing and sales - they would be idiots if they didn't do this.

.

Blind to what though? All you have said is that there are no 58xx cards getting to the retailers from the market. We have proved you wrong and now you say we are blind.

Please state exactly what it is you think we are being blind about cause up till now you have posted very little sense and I am seriously starting to beleive you are just a troll.

pulled out of market, why would AMD do that with their top ends?

just a supply short fall, like all good things (when they first come out) this goes for everyware not just OCuk

Dell have every right to those cards if they pay the money for em its the ways of business.
whats the point of brining out a product if the company is not there for the money? (helpful, evolutionary or revolutionary)

I got one when i wanted one and having just checked on a well known search engine there are plenty of places that have them in stock although some are charging a premium. Seriously do you work for nvidia because this is about par for the course with them lately trying to create conspiracy theorys where there are none. Do a little and i mean little searching and if you want one you can get one.

i got a 5870 and am loving it
many stores have 5000 series in stock, just less of 5800 series and a lot more of 5700 series
