Hi Guys,

I'm after a whole new computer pretty much replace my old one which is well over due, so old I can play Crysis on low! or Bf2 on medium etc

I'm after parts in a total cost of £500 and hopefully it'll last for a good 3 or 4 years. Quad Core is sounding good for starters. Anyone got any thoughts? Once Royal Mail has had it's strike i'll be looking at buying. Does the new year effect prices on latest Graphics cards?

Cheers

Sorry been busy to get on here.

Basically everything again as my old one is just about alive. New motherboard, ram, graphic's, case, HDD etc etc

You can build a good i5 rig for £500

i5 750
Gigabyte P55M UD2
HD5770
Samsung F3 1Tb
Corsair VX450
Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) i5 Kit
Antec 300
comes to around £450 :)

Hi all,

Sorry not been on for awhile, looking to buy in new year.

Is it worth waiting to see what Nvidia release before i buy the graphic's card?

err. how?! more like £600:) but if the OP can stretch to 6-700 ish then you're into the realms of i5 which is really worth saving for.

You could wait, but i dont think they will release anything that is spectacular, i'd just go for something like a 5850, great card, low price. but postpone the build til you have lots of money to get a decent i5 build or something
