Whats an "interesting" small car?

Citreon C2 VTR/GT. They have an interesting boot that half folds down for when she goes shopping that makes it easier to put her stuff in. Plus looks good.

Also maybe the new Micra looks kinda interesting. Not my sort of thing but most girls I know think it looks cute.

I saw the boot hatch thing, i can't see it being easier to put shopping in, infact slightly more difficult than a normal boot.
Plus it hardly good looking, i guess a girl could see it as cute though, it is a very girly shaped car.

Could always suggest an alfa of some kind if she has money to burn on fixing stuff or doesn't do many miles?

In what way is it more interesting than a Micro/Polo/Corsa/Polo/Fiesta/Arosa/Yaris?

micra - (i'm assuming you meant micra?) are ****e
polo - alright but are for old women
corsa - zzzz
fiesta - crap build and styling
arosa - just a rebadged lupo
yaris - ugly

lupos have more character than that ramble put togethor

All of them are characterless small cars. Don't start being silly. An MX-5 is 10000's of times more interesting.

This guy talks sense, the Lupo's are also cheap on insurance. They are build very well and they are a good run about and you should be able to pick up a 1.0 or a 1.4 (75hp) with in your budget.

Also that picture doesn't so it justice, oh and have you driven a Lupo?

LOL VW Fanbois

Are you possibly suggesting to me that a Lupo is going to be a better, more interesting drive than a MX-5? This is my fundamental point.

ARE YOU INSANE IN THE FACE?

Why would we have, surely the only opportunity one gets to casually drive a Lupo is being given a courtesy car by a VW dealer at some point between 2000 and 2005?

I had one as a courtesy car from a body shop once - I thought they only existed as courtesy cars

Or was it an Arosa....

Well you should be able to tell the difference because it ooozes character!

Lupo, Polo, Fiesta whatever, they are all fundamentally dull cars.

It really didn't ooze much of anything - although it was pretty nippy from 0 to 7mph

Agreed, I'm not even sure how small shopping trolley hatchbacks became the subject of conversation in an "interesting" car thread.

Its impossible to tell, in fact, I cant believe it was interesting enough for you to even try and remember what it was.

Problem is with small cars, is they are all dull unless you get the out right sporty versions, if not the driver has to make them interesting.

The old fiesta I have for work tries its best, it does 0-60 in under 10 seconds, it does over 110mph, it does great wheel spins with its plastic tyres on its tiny wheels, it squeals like mad going round even the most modest of corners, it does great handbrake turns.
But in the harsh light of day, its a very old grannies car with a fake wood dash that if you drove it properly would kill you with boredom within 5 minutes flat.
A 1.4 lupo/arosa, with its 30 less horsepower, or even the 100bhp 16v (which is still slower than a festa) is enough to kill you with boredom just by being in the same car park as you.

i recommend you drive one, doesn't even have to be a gti

Don't want to come across as arrogant, but yes i've driven one and no i don't think anything of it. Horrible little thing i had to put up with as a courtesy car. My car at the time was a 1.9 Tdi Ibiza FR and thats just a polo in fancy dress but tons better than that lupo thing :p
