S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl only £3.50 on STEAM!

So its not buggy as **** anymore?
I wanted to like this game, but m8 said first 15mins were dire or sometihg...
On par with F03?

Does anybody know if it will be compatible with graphics mods? I know STEAM are usually good with this sort of thing, and even if it's not... For £3.50 I don't really mind. :p

Amazing game. In my top 10 of all time, easily. The atmosphere throughout is just amazing.

But you have to stick with it for the first few hours until you get the hang of how it works, and how er....'flaky' it can be at times.

At that price, it's a steal.

Quite tempted to buy it again just for the ease of having it on Steam actually...

Bought this when it was on a deal on Steam a while back and after initially being unable to get in to it, I stuck with it and ended up finishing it. Enjoyed it immensely once I started to suss it out.

Now if they could just put the next one up....

Was just going to post the same thing ym self once I saw the price - got it anyway would be silly not to for the price of a pint and a half (!), that and HL2-E2

For anyone who has got the game already and didn't like it, or those about to buy it. You really need to stick with the game.
I stopped playing it when i first bought it. Then came back a year later and gave it more of a chance. Its worth it, yes the chat and interface are poor, but the gameplay is great.

Well for £3.50 its well worth a try as iv'e heard good stuff about it even though its like 2007? Anyway thanx for the heads up i have it downloading :)

Thought it would be cool but i couldnt get on with it, with the russian dialogue for nps, the lame radiation bubbles which are highly annoying and the dying too easy with lack of owt decent to fire at them and the enemy shoots with too good accuracy etc. Just didnt like it.

Easily one of the best FPS I have played in a long while. When I got rolling I found impossible to put down.

+1
Most games have their ups and downs but I found stalker just kept on gradually drawing me further in. Such great atmosphere, 'The Zone' and all its inhabitants don't joke around, this added and heightened the tension even more too.

Agree with all of it except the Russian, I quite liked it, it added to the atmosphere, but the other points, I agree.
But I felt lost at what to do, where to go, I got owned way too easily by everything at start, and the radiation is annoying.
