Hey all,

Now I know nothing about sound systems, however investing in a HD setup soon and was wondering what kind of price range + options I Would be looking at to set up a cheap but decent little sound system to go with it to watch DVD's play games etc.

Thanks for any help!

Well It will most likely consist of TV Samsung LE32B551A, 360 + PS3, and Virgin Box, I would idealy like a 2.1 System as I do not have room for a 5.1.

is this the sort of thing your after

£109.99 and 200RMS that would probably be pretty good for watching movies on if you dont have space for 5.1

otherwise the logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers are very good.

I have to ask the stupid question, but do these plug into the Red + White Audio Out connectors?

Thanks,
Jcb33.

no they dont, this plugs into a jack output (the headphone output on your pc)

you could have these pluged into the headphone output on your tv and have everything like xbox and virgin box plugged into your tv, and you wont need to change anything on the speakers. this is what i have setup with my amp and speakers.

hope this helps

You'll be needing 5.1 seperates and an amp.

I picked up my Onkyo 606 for £300, and Q acoustics 1010i for £350. Awesome setup for the money.

The logitech packages are nothing short of awful. You won't get proper 5.1, decent sound or good cohesion, and you'll really be selling your system short.

You don't need to spend £650 on a system even (though that's quite modest). Second hand you can get some lovely kit, and even new you can pick some awesome seperates and amp for a few hundred.

Ant

Or you could use a dual RCA to 3.5mm adapter :)
