Its my girlfriends 21st birthday in 2 weeks. I already have some nice earings that she knows about but i want to get a little something extra for a surprise.

Any nice ideas?

Depends on the person if she's very outgoing then a 'suprise' party would be a winner or perhaps a nice restauraunt with friends and family...

It really depends on her really though!

Obligatory pearl necklace, etc. before someone else does it!

What does she like? How long have you been dating?

I was in a bit of an awkward situation where I started dating my gf about a week before her 21st (1st April). I hand made her a card, took her for a meal and felt guilty I didn't get her more, even though we hadn't been dating for long so I bought the biggest measurement of perfume she likes. I reckon my presents for Christmas makes up for her spending so much on my 21st two months ago
