Greenday Tonight :D - LG Arena

I really wish I went to one now, just to see what the fuss is all about.

Just out of curiosity, who else have you seen before? ( directed to those that say it's the best gig of your life :p )

Not many people.......

Foo Fighters - Wembley
Beastie Boys - Wembley
Scouting for Girls - Brixton Ac
Travis inc Kings of Leon before famous - Ally Pally
Linkin Park - O2 Arena
Summer in the Sun - MK Bowl - Various Artists
T4 on the beach 2009 - Various artists

But definitely rates the highest IMHO :D

Ok ok. I would have to say that it has to have been the best concert I've ever seen.

Prima Donna were a bit meh, the standing crowd watching them reminded me of that scene in Close Encounters when the space ship lands at the end where you could see them all looking up but not moving. I did laugh.

Green Day though were frankly awesome. I'm not the biggest fan of theirs but know most if not all of their stuff. The sound was amazing, the lighting, stage back drop and pyrotechnics were brilliant too.

*****SPOILERS*****

Highlights were many. Drunken pink pabbit, crowd surfing banana, Billy Joe taking the **** out of 2 kids by calling them circus freaks/Carnies and saying they had small hands and smelt of cabbage, the crowd did LOL as they did on many occasions. Playing Black Sabbath, ACDC, Judas Priest, Lulu (yes that's right lol), Benny Hill theme, firing T-shirts into the crowd, soaking them with hoses and water guns, getting a member of the crowd to sing ALL of Longview, which they did pretty well actually and most importantly they played all of their best songs aswell as the new stuff which the crowd had lots of opportunity to join in.

Green Day are now the best live band I've seen up to date and I've seen many. I've never left a gig feeling as entertained as I did last night. I want to go again.

EPIC, im glad you had the same experience i had :D im still glowing now!!

***********SPOILER*************

We had 3 people called on stage 1 to play drums, 1 to play bass and 1 to play lead guitar!!!! Did you have that happen??
The young girl who got up to play lead even busted out a solo at the end ! LOL Amazing

No that didn't happen. Infact, they were only on stage for just short of 2 ½ hours but I still felt it was worth every penny and more. I was slightly miffed they didn't play Jesus of Suburbia though lol. He did get other people up on stage to dress up and mess about which was fun. All in all it was almost too much to take in, so much happening with so many highlights it's difficult to remember everything.

Edit: On the big screen back drop near the end of the gig I looked at Billie Joe and he looked absolutely shattered. I'm not surprised, putting the energy in that he does every other night has to take it out of you.

I witnessed Jesus of Surburbia :D It was awesome

I know what you mean, soo much happened it it was great.

The main thing is that you had an awesome time :D I LOVE IT !!!:D

Was there last night. Great show. It was funny at the end when Billie Joe played Christie Road acoustic and everyone around where i was standing went silent, i dont think half the people there know Greenday other than American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown.

That's what they always do :o

Macy's Day Parade acoustic at Brixton Academy was great, such a tiny venue for a big band, I love that place. Seen them at Wembley Arena and MK Bowl too. :)

Green Day do that at pretty much every gig they play :p

I was talking to a friend who said that they done it at MK bowl and the person that played lead guitar ended up keeping the guitar !!!
So jealous, i tried so hard to get on stage LOL

Still smiling:D

My lord, that's by far THE best gig I have and probably will ever see!

Near 3hr set, all the classics ( and that's a lot ) a song with The Beatles, Oasis, Lulu, The Undertones and more! Have iPhone video clips, but it was so loud it's not the best recordings!

The three members of the crowd who came up, the drums got manned by a young female lass, who had the crowd on their feet clapping as she did an amazing solo in the end.
