nope, iirc all of the vapor cards are like this. Wouldn't have thought it an issue in a good air cooled case.

As capriboy says in a case with decent airflow it shouldn't matter.

It was really really quiet even in crysis i thought.

Maybe theres not the same market for these as there was with the uber loud 4-series ati's last time around?

If this had 2GB of memory or was clocked super high or the stock ATI HSF was rubbish then I could understand the need for it, but it seems like they're just using the Vapor-X brand to make a bit of extra profit from a mildly overclocked stock card.

Have a look through comparisons and decide if that extra GB did anything worthwhile for the 4890 Vapor-X.

Thats a pretty huge gap for a cooler and +20/200 Core/Mem =/
