I cannot believe some people in the world actually behave like this? What goes through their mind justifying their actions to themselves?

What shocked me most, and I know this may sound strange, is the fact that one is HIV positive! Not only was he abusing helpless infants BUT potentially he was knowingly infecting them with such a horrilbe disease for the rest of their lives! People like this are disgusting and 16years in prison is no where near enough in my opinion. They should bring back capital punishment but even the death penalty wouldn't be enough for people like this! I am absolutely disgusted!
 
I think I am lucky that I can't even picture how you would do anything to an 18 month old baby.

I only just heard about this on the news briefly, it makes me :(

I keep telling people (women mainly) at the 'tender' age of 27 I never want children and this is one of the reasons, the world is a cruel and dangerous place!

If I did have children, god who doesn't exist forbid, I'd probably lock them in the basement to spare them from reality.

What's more disgusting is how they share the abuse with like-minded people and "offer" children to them as well!! I can't accept the fact that people like this are simply "mentally abnormal", as there are so many cases reported meaning this mental abnormallity would be seen as a disease or syndrome rather than a lack of knowledge/emoition/grasp of reality or whatever it is which motivates sick people like this. I mean look at that recent nursery worker case, those people were skilled enough to have proper jobs and avoid any suspicion yet they still gave in to their sick fetish which prompts me to think they were mentally stable but morally ******!

I think they should be abused, locked up and ****ed up constantly until they finally pass away, slowly, painfully and hopefully resenting every last breath of their meagre lives.

Even then I fear that still isn't just enough!

So true, I've never thought of it like that but I understand. It's a reactional coping method to play down the situation in their mind so they don't have to comprehend how tragic it actually is. Although saying this, I do understand how tragic it is but I still find jokes of this caliber quite amusing... does that mean I myself am "playing down" the tragedy of the situation to avoid being mentally scarred?

Yeah, revenge will make everyone feel better and will stop this sort of thing ever happening again.

Comments like this have spurred me into thinking that maybe we SHOULD be rehabilitating the offenders rather than the old "eye for an eye" as they are people too... although maybe they denounce the right to be treated as people once they commit such offenses...
 
Take them outside and shoot them. That way we know they will never be able to do things like that again.

How can these men look at themselves.

At least the 3month old bairn won't remember whatever the sick * did!

Get them "men" out in the town on a night with a tattoo on their forehead telling people who they are and what they did... Should make for a better news story the next day
 
Just sickens me that i could have been brushing past these monsters in the street or sitting next to them in the pub. Also makes me wonder how many people there must be out there who have a sexual interest in children but never act on it in any way.

Deaths not a harsh enough punishment for the ones that do act on it.
